Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To determine whether nosocomial transmission of Pseudomonas cepacia occurred at a hospital with endemic P cepacia infection of patients with cystic fibrosis.

DESIGN: Two retrospective case-control studies.

SETTING: A large pediatric cystic fibrosis center.
